There’s a bill from the 117th Congress SB 4201 - last year - introduced by Senator Michael Bennett named the “Digital Platform Commission Act.”
It did not get thru in 2022 but Bennett introduced May 18th, SB 1671 "A bill to establish a new Federal body to provide reasonable oversight and regulation of digital platforms." In other words, he's reintroducing 4201 with enhancements.

The House will create partner legislation (last year it was H.R.7858).
It will end up mirroring EU's huge authoritarian act that was implemented last month: The Digital Services Act.

The suffering of millions of “white slaves” – the term was coined by US Senator and anti-slavery campaigner Charles Sumner in 1847 – is largely forgotten today. It is at best touched on in passing in history lessons and hardly ever discussed in books.
