Editor’s Note: Today is National Bobblehead Day. This day was founded in 2014 by the National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum. Bobbleheads are collectible figurines known for their oversized heads and spring mechanism that makes them nod. The first actual bobblehead dolls were made in Germany, likely between the late 1700s and early 1800s. These dolls were made of ceramic and were influenced by ancient Japanese and Chinese string dolls.
